Pinot Noir

2024

Pinot Noir is one of my favourite varieties – some might say I’m obsessed with it. With this wine, I draw on my experience in Napa Valley while also striving to showcase the Old World expression of the variety.

Winemaker's Note

This Pinot Noir comes from low-yielding vineyards on Etyek’s limestone soils. After careful sorting, I destemmed the grapes and fermented them in open-top vessels, using gentle punch-downs and pump-overs. The wine then matured for 14 months in Hungarian and French oak barrels (25% new), adding depth and subtle spice.

Expect aromas of ripe cherry and wild strawberry in the glass, layered with notes of rose petal, forest floor, and fine oak. The palate is silky yet structured, with vibrant acidity and a long, graceful finish. A true cool-climate Pinot Noir, reflecting both the vineyard and my vision for the variety in Hungary.
